A textile art design group, specializing in scarves, table runners, accent pillows, placemats, accessories,and other home accents which are hand-marbled and signed, or are computer generated art designs, Spencer Styles offers you one of a kind art for you and your home. Hand-marbled items are marbled with acrylic paints on silk, cotton, or rayon and steamed to set the colors. No two items are ever the same because of the special marbling technique, but colors used can be similar. It is recommended to dry-clean or hand wash items when necessary.

What is Marbling?  

Marbling is the art of printing multi-colored swirled or stone-like patterns on paper or fabric. The swirled designs are formed by floating colors on the surface of a liquid, and then placing the fabric or paper onto the colors to absorb them.(This is not the same art process as faux marbre, or faux finishes, which is painting a marble-like finish directly onto walls, columns, or furniture.) Marbling, now more popular than ever in its 1000-year history, is an exciting way to add flare and accent to any lifestyle.
